Let’s explore some commonly asked questions about how to open a senior care business
What experience do I need to become a Sapphire Senior Care franchise owner?
Previous health care experience is a plus but not required. We are looking for financially qualified people who care about seniors and their quality of life. We seek professionals who are enthusiastic about our brand, embrace the Sapphire Senior Care culture and will work hard to build a business they are proud of.
What is provided as part of the Sapphire Senior Care franchise program?
Sapphire Senior Care is known for our extensive training by leading professionals in the senior home care and health care fields. We will provide initial training at our flagship location in Wisconsin, which will take place over a one week period of time. Our franchise development team will offer on-site training at your new location for a duration of 1-2 days within 60 days of your opening. The initial training program includes information relating to health care, in-home senior care, understanding the technology that is used for both the business and our clients, marketing and sales programs and methods of controlling operating costs. In addition, you will have access to our exclusive confidential operations manual to help you open a senior care business and run your franchise properly on a day-to-day basis.
How much will the Sapphire Senior Care franchise program cost me?
The total initial investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $87,200 to $130,400 for a single franchise. This includes a $35,000 initial franchise fee. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial business growth stages.
Is financing available?
We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case by case basis.
Are there ongoing fees to pay?
We charge a royalty fee equal to 5% of total gross sales, and there is also a $200 monthly technology fee (subject to increase). Fees such as these allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades. For a full list of fees and requirements, please refer to our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
Are there any advertising fees?
Franchisees will be required to spend a minimum of 2% of gross sales or $1500, whichever is greater, each month on local marketing. Sapphire Senior Care franchisees will also contribute up to 2% of gross sales into the brand building fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Sapphire Senior Care brand.
What is the term of the agreement?
The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with two subsequent successor agreement options of five years.
